The FDNY Soccer Club and the Firefighter Sergio Villanueva Soccer Foundation celebrated our 2008 Youth Soccer Clinic in June. This year’s Clinic featured Coaches from the World famous Liverpool Football Academy. The Liverpool Academy is the training ground for tomorrow’s stars of the English Premier League. The FDNY Soccer Club is made up of Firefighters from all five boros of New York City. The Club was established in 1977 and since 1994 we have been competing in the Long Island Soccer Football League.

We have made numerous appearances in the World Police and Firefighter Games and we look forward to our annual “Battle of the Badges” with the New York City Police Department.

The purpose of the team is to promote camaraderie and physical fitness through the sport of Soccer. We have shared in great accomplishments and horrible tragedy and as a team we have persevered.
